Job Role and Responsibilities 

Overview of role

At Rose Opticians we understand the importance of sight and first class customer service which is why we are looking for an enthusiastic individual looking for a career in Optometry. As an Clinical Assistant  you will be the face of Rose Opticians, greeting existing and potential clients as they enter the practice. You will be required to prepare letters, as well as Optical documentation. You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative duties and clerical support including (but not limited to) answering inbound telephone queries and making outbound calls to clients and clinicians, as well as ensuring Rose Opticians has a strong social media presence.

We are looking for someone who will take a proactive role in ensuring the practice is an inviting environment. If you believe you will make a fantastic addition to Rose Opticians, we would like to hear from you.

Skills and experience

Functional / Technical Competencies

  • Interest in optics, being a spectacle and contact lens wearer is helpful but not essential.
  • Able to communicate effectively to customers of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to effectively utilise Microsoft Office & Google Drive (particularly Word & Excel)
  • Knowledge of Anydesk is desirable but not essential.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a customer or client facing role would be advantageous
  • Experience with CRM systems is desirable.

Education / Qualifications

  • A good general education is required [including at least a C or above in English and Maths at GCSE level]
