Our history with the club began in 1991 when Sir Alan Sugar took over and invested his time, energy and money. Through his skill, innovation and dedication he built up a club with a future that is now in the safe hands of Chairman Mr Daniel Levy and Enic PLC.
We run a clinic at the club training ground and screen every player at the start of each season. The screening takes five to ten minutes per player. If we discover any issues, the player is offered a further assessment at one of our practices. A full screening report on each player, which includes any recommendations, is given to the management team.
At the start of the 2009/2010 season we found a first team player with an astigmatism that he was unaware of. He now wears contact lenses and claims they improve his reaction speed! THFC went on to have the best start to the season in memory. We like to think our contact lenses played a small part in this success!
